Made in collaboration with Christopher Carlton in the summer of 2016, An Eye is a portrait of New York City, as seen in its temporary advertisements, made to be layered and stripped away in succession. Much could be said about eyes, violence, existing gods, a theory of art. Don Draper has aged. As the hand shakes, the camera loses contact with the thin advertising surface, blinks, and refocuses.
